Ok, since blogging this last time, I know it was a LONG time ago, I have been introduced to this neat little thing called Clogging. I dont know if any of you have ever heard of it, but it is AMAZING!!
I would first like to blame Chase, this guy in the picture with me, for getting me to clog with him. He is wanting to start a club next year at school, so he used me as his guinea pig since I was interested. Now he actually wants me to TEACH it to them, but we'll see...
Now I'm hooked and cannot get enough!! This pic was taken at the very first fun dance that I went to. It was sooo much fun and everyone is extremely friendly.
The shoes to the left are the kind of shoes that we wear. I thought I would put up a pic of the shoes that we wear since you cant see our feet...I wish I had a video, but I dont...
Anyway, if you have anymore questions on this kind of thing, just comment me or something...
Yay! She finally granded!!!
we were at the Michigan show the last week of the season. Our breeder convinced us to take her out since it was the end of the show. Mom and I didnt think she would get her granded, but what the heck, it'll be quite a trip......We had no idea what we were getting into...
So the streets in Michigan are very annoying, because there are one way streets. So we circled the building like ten times, not knowing that that was where it was. When we got there, I was drafted into cleaning cages, but i made 25 bucks. Hannah finalled in Liz Watson's ring, of course, but for the rest of the day, she just wasnt gettin anything! She only needed like 7 points, no joke.
The ring that i worked just happened to be Hannah's last ring, and hope of granding. The judge gave her 3rd best shorthair to give her her grand points. we were very excited, especially our newly made friends, Elaine and Victoria who also show devons.
My friend sent this to me the other day and I thought I would share it with everyone because it is HILARIOUS!!!
This is Bleaker, our newest addition to our lovely "House of Devons". He makes Devon number 4 and I just love him! He is such the little nut, but can you resist this face?
His CFA name will be "THE COURT JESTER OF A DEVONSTALE", but we will be calling him Bleaker. The name is from Juno, in case you were wondering where we got such a strange name from.
Ok, call me emo, goth, vampiric, evil, whatever. But these books are AMAZING and are all about vampires...but not exactly the kind you normally think about. The series to the right is the best on the earth and there will never be anything to top these. Well, maybe the 4th one to the collection, lol.
the one on the left is one i was introduced to not too long ago by my friend, who is also hooked on vampires. There is another book to this one, which im totally phsyced about reading even though i havent finished this one yet!!
Yep, there is a little more insight to who I am and about me. yeah i know, im different.
Take it or Leave it.......your choice.
Ok, so we did pretty well for our first time. Creme Brulee and I got 10 best kitten in 2 of the 8 rings, and 9 best kitten in 1 ring. At first we were happy and all, but we didnt really too much about it. After speaking with our mentor, she said that we did extremely well for our first show and be excited, so we were. Mom and Hannah (bottom) Championed that weekend!!!!
Unfortuantely, Mom and I forgot the camera for our second show, so I'll just have to tell you without visuals...
Ok, so the next show was Devon Heaven, and apparently its a big thing for devon rex breeders as we soon found out. i dont think ive ever seen so many devons at one show. it was a big change going from being the only devon kitten to having a competition of 53 others....
The judges didnt really like Creme Brulee or Hannah. Our first of the 2 day show, Creme Brulee took a yellow and red in two of the 5 rings we went to that day. But we were not discouraged. The next day, our first ring of the day, the judge would just not stop looking at my cat! I was like, wow, if only they were like that. She ended up getting best Devon kitten, Best of Color Class, and came back for the finals.
Creme Brulee took 3 best shorthair kitten!!!!! I was so excited, i didnt know what to do with myself. Of course none of the other judges were so generous, but we still had a good time.
If you want to know more on hannah, just visit my mom's blog, i think she has more on her.
This is a picture of the turtle I made during my trip to Myrtle Beach. This turtle has a story behind its making, which I am about to share.
We didn't arrive at the hotel until after 1 a.m. I had just spent 13 hours in the car, so you can see I am already out of my mind. The first thing we do when we get there is go down to the beach. When crossing the bridge to get to the sand, there is a sign posted about seaturtles. It says if they are nesting to leave them alone, blah, blah, blah. I get to the sanded area and see a large mound, so my brother and I decide to go look at it.
We think it is a sand castle someone has made earlier that day. Looking down as we are walking, we suddenly come upon the mound and see an indented pattern that is brown. This thing must have been HUGE!!! The first thing I think is OMG its a SEATURTLE!!! So we run back to Mom, yelling, and tell her we just saw a seaturtle. Who would have thought that we would see a seaturtle the first night we go there.
Dad doesn't think its a turtle, so what does he do? Gets a closer look. As he slowly creeps up on it, he starts to get a better look at my "turtle". He turns to us and says, " It's Snoopy." I'm like what? So I also get a closer look and realize someone had built up a mound, carved the shape of Snoopy's head, and used brown rocks to make his ears look black. I didn't get a picture of the infamous "seaturtle", so I made a little one to remind me of the story. My family hasn't let me down to it to this day. (I don't think they ever will).
i find it very entertaining, even if you're just watching. lol read more
